Application and Registration Procedure

  • All application processes are done online. Candidates must upload the required documents by registering to the application system via https://basvuru.marmara.edu.tr/
  • Candidates can apply for only one thesis program and two non-thesis master programs at the same time. (for Master programs)
  • Successful candidates are invited for a scientific exam and interview of the related programs.
  • Following successful interviews, candidates are invited for the registration according to the announced calendar.
  • For registration, candidates must bring original copies of documents which are uploaded to the system during the first application along with the final enrolment document that will be created in the system after exams and interviews.
  • Tuition fee for Master and PhD programs is ₺5000 and ₺6000, respectively. Non-thesis tuition fees will be announced later at https://sbe.marmara.edu.tr/lisansustu-islemler/tezsiz-yl-ogrenim-ucretleri/ for the 2020–2021 academic year.

  • Final enrolment document (will be printed through application system)
  • Bank receipt of tuition fee
  • Master’s degree diploma
  • Master’s transcript
  • TÖMER certificate min. B2 + (for programs in Turkish)
  • YÖK Certificate of Recognition for the previous institution
  • Passport and photocopy of the passport
  • 2 photographs
  • Foreign language certificate (minimum 60+ degree in national exams or equivalent degree in international exams such as Toefl or Ielts, see the equivalent https://denklik.yok.gov.tr/yabanci-dil-esdegerlikleri)

  • Bachelor’s degree diploma

Further Information

  • For Master or PhD applications, candidates must hold Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, respectively. For conditional pre-application to Master or PhD study, candidates must be in their final semester of Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree program.
  • The candidates must present their related diplomas during the registration dates.
  • Candidates who graduated/will graduate from a university abroad will enter their information through the system themselves. Those who do not have their university in the list may choose 'Abroad' (other) university option.
  • Applicants who apply for two programs should pay attention to the interview dates. Information about the interview dates will be announced on our webpage.
  • Approved applications over the system cannot be deleted or changed.
  • Candidates must attend all the exams and interviews announced on the website of the Institute. Otherwise, their applications will not be taken into consideration.
  • TÖMER certificate is obligatory for foreign applicants at least B2 level. Students who are graduated from a bachelor's or master's degree program in Turkish at a higher education institution at home or abroad are not required to have Tomer certificate.
  • Foreign applicants who will enroll for a Master or PhD program are required to have a "School Recognition Letter" from the Presidency of the Council of Higher Education (YOK). Applications will be made personally to the address: Yükseköğretim Kurulu Başkanlığı 06539 Bilkent/ANKARA. Recognition letters will be sent by post only to the supplicants.
  • The documents will be checked and approved by the staff of the institute. It is mandatory to have all required documents for the enrolment.
